Pests We Handle in Commercial Spaces
Rats, mice, cockroaches, bed bugs, flies, ants, stinging insects and stored product beetles.
Rat
Rats chew through wiring, insulation and building materials. That damage is costly to fix, and chewed wires can start a fire.
Mice
Mice are small, but they breed fast and can take over a space quickly. They contaminate stored products and chew through packaging, which is a sanitation problem for any business.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches thrive in kitchens, restaurants and storage areas. They’re a health and hygiene risk wherever food is handled. See our cockroach exterminator service.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are a big problem for hotels, offices and other hospitality spaces. They can hurt your reputation and disrupt your business. See our bed bug exterminator service.
Flies
Flies gather in restaurants, commercial kitchens and waste areas. They spread bacteria and can contaminate the surfaces where food is made.
Ants
Ants usually start in kitchens, break rooms and food storage areas, where there are crumbs and moisture. Once they settle in, they can spread through a building and get hard to control without the right treatment.
Stinging Insects
Stinging insects can be a safety problem at entrances, patios and loading docks. In busy areas, a nest can go unnoticed and put employees, customers and visitors at risk.
Stored Product Beetles
Stored product beetles live in food storage areas, warehouses and processing plants, where they get into dry goods and packaged products. They contaminate inventory and damage stored materials, which can cause sanitation and compliance problems.
Our Commercial Pest Control Process
- Free on-site inspection. We check for pest activity, entry points, sanitation and the conditions that let pests settle in.
- Identify the pest and the risk. We look at the areas that matter most for your business, like food storage, waste areas and loading docks.
- A plan for your property. Treatment, sealing and the changes your staff can make, set to a schedule that fits your operation.
- Integrated Pest Management. We treat only where pests are, with EPA-registered products. We also seal the gaps they use and remove what draws them in, so they’re less likely to come back.
- Visits that fit your hours. We always come before you open or after you close, so we never disturb your customers or staff. Stores usually get a monthly visit and food businesses two a month, and regular visits catch new activity early.

Two Recent Jobs
A clinic opening with a cockroach problem. A medical company was renovating a space in the city to open a clinic. It had a severe cockroach problem and a basement full of garbage. We brought in a trash hauler, bagged and cleared everything out, then sprayed every wall from top to bottom, not just the baseboards, with a wettable powder, a product you mix with water in the sprayer. Roaches came out of the cracks and died as we sprayed. That was about a year and a half ago, and the clinic has been on our monthly service ever since.
Bed bugs in a Manhattan office. An office had bed bugs along its rows of desks. The building’s facility company asked for three steps. First, a slow HEPA vacuum of every corner and joint where bed bugs hide, sometimes five minutes on one spot. Then steam. Then an Actisol treatment, which turns the product into a fine mist that reaches every crack. The mist means the fire sprinklers have to be shut off, and many buildings won’t do that. This one did. We treated four areas, and no bed bugs were seen after.
See a Sample Service Report
After each visit, building managers get a written report. It lists every product we used, with its EPA registration number and active ingredient, how much we applied, and how and when we applied it. It also notes what we found. Many managers keep these reports with their building records, including for Local Law 55. Here is a real report from one of our jobs, with the customer’s details and prices removed.
